Claire graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from The University of Queensland in 2013 and has worked across community, inpatient and outpatient settings. Claire has extensive experience in the areas of Neurological and Vestibular physiotherapy. In 2020, Claire transitioned into Adult Pelvic Health and Paediatric continence physiotherapy. Her work in adult pelvic health physiotherapy, predominantly supports people with bladder and bowel symptoms such as urgency and incontinence, pelvic pain conditions including vaginismus and endometriosis, and rehabilitation from gynaecology surgeries such as hysterectomies and prolapse repairs. Claire also has extensive experience supporting people following breast cancer surgery for rehabilitation and pain and scar tissue/cording management. In addition to this clinical caseload, Claire works within the Mars Clinic, supporting children, adolescents and their families with bladder and bowel symptoms.
Claire engages in regular practical upskilling including but not limited to completion of the Level 1 and Level 2 Women’s Health Pelvic Health Career pathway training through the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Women’s Health Training Association.
Claire is an empathetic and practical physiotherapist who prioritises creating a safe space for her patients to share their story, improve their understanding of their body and symptoms and explore strategies to reach their goals. She has a special interest in supporting adults in the treatment of Sexual Function issues, particularly for those experiencing pelvic pain. Claire is currently completing a Master’s of Science in Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive health, majoring in Psychosexual Therapy) through Sydney University. Upon completion of her Masters, Claire will use her qualification as a Sexologist to further complement her physiotherapy skills in supporting people with sexual dysfunctions or concerns related to their sexual health and wellbeing.
In addition to her passion for physiotherapy, Claire loves Latin dancing, cooking and pottery.
